The Murena is a Doppler radar that houses both transmitter and receiver in one console. This is also known as a “transceiver”. The digital signal processor receives important information about the direction, distance, volume and position of the intruder. It is ideal to determine customer-specific target alarms. Moreover, the radar is unaffected by weather conditions such as rain, hail, snow and fog. The Murena works best as a façade opening detector on terraces, balconies, flat roofs and portals. The Murena is also employed to survey blind spots that are not detected by microwave detectors.
How it works: | Volume change in the generated reflective field./td> |
Location: | Can be used on smaller surfaces or to cover holes in the microwave field. |
Maximum range: | Twelve or 24 metres with a detection strip of 15 metres. |
Minimum range: | Two metres with a detection strip of 4 metres. |
Alarm zone: | One zone per radar, adjustable from x to y metres. |
Weather influence: | Practically none. |
Small animals: | Small animals do not set off the alarm. |
Advantages: | Cost-effective, works preventively and has a very high detection probability. Comes in 12 metres 90° and 24 metres 45°. Fuzzy logic technology. |
Drawbacks: | Works best on an empty terrain without tall plants or bushes. |
Application: | Projects with a medium to high risk profile. |
